DHL Email Virus Targets Curious Computer Users Hoping For Unexpected Gift!

DHL-lavel_Nr.zip email virus could rip apart your computer and throw you in to an identity theft nightmare!

Warning: PLEASE do not open any enticing email attachments from strangers…even strangers pretending to be DHL!

What you see below is the exact email attachment Monique A. (a Credit-Success member) opened (see below):

dhl email virus DHL Email Virus Targets Curious Computer Users Hoping For Unexpected Gift!

Dangerous email attachment preys on curious, uninformed people!

Monique emailed me the other day asking about this DHL email attachment (see above).

I too have received this exact email…many times in the last few months. For some really bizarre reason, Monique OPENED IT!

What the h*ll!

“Why, Monique, did you open it?” I asked her in a follow-up email.

Her response, “I thought my parents had sent me a package.”

If you know me, you know I’m not judging (or scolding) Monique. Hell no. If you recall, I’m the stupid one who left his wallet sitting in plain sight on the center console of his unlocked car with windows rolled down while playing basketball at a park with friends back in the 80s.

I lost my butt to identity theft over that act of stupidity.

I really don’t want to see you or Monique suffer what I went through.

Do you know what this virus does? Unless I totally lose my head, I will not take a chance opening or clicking on (unknown) attachments or links.

Please go below and leave me a comment or question about ID Theft. If you have faced ID Theft, please share your experience unless it’s too painful…in that case, I understand.

Whether DHL or UPS, this email virus scam is searching the Internet for careless “double clickers.”

DHL email virus attachment is just another attempt to mess with you. PLEASE download and update a virus protection software (a really good FREE one is at www.AVG.com). Also, turn on software firewall even if you haveĀ  a hardware firewall in your router.

Mike,
I received the DHL email, and opened the attached file like an idiot. I have Norton Premier 360 installed, did that most likely stop it? How do I know?

Dale.

Dale, I’m not familiar with Norton Premier 360, but I am familiar with MalwareBytes. Quickly download MalwareBytes, update it & run it. You definitely will know if the virus has infected your machine, as you computer will go funky on you. I don’t know what else this virus can (and will) do since I got hit. MalwareBytes got rid of this virus for me. Keep me posted. I hope everything goes well for you.

Mike
